Artesania Del Valle Presents: Buho Aguila Jaguar del Cielo
This is a beautiful example of a fusion Alebrije. "Buho Aguila Jaguar del Cielo," is the fusion of three animals: the owl, the eagle, and the jaguar. If you look closely you can see that the owl face is actually a mask, which is representative of the annual Carnival de Alebrijes in San Martin Tilcajete where people turn themselves into living Alebrijes and march around town. The wings on this piece also illuminate under ultraviolet light. Brought to life by San Martin Tilcajete native, Margarito Melchor.
